Survey Highlights Ask Life’s abito success

A recent survey carried out by Ask Life has revealed that abito’s intelligent living spaces have been hugely successful with the young, first time buyer market since their introduction to the market in 2006.

Results show that of those people living in the abito Greengate apartments two thirds of residents are graduates, the majority of which earn under £25,000 and a vast number walk, cycle or use public transport to work.

The survey also highlighted that affordability and value for money are key reasons for buying, with most residents confirming this as being a big influencer in their decision including the large number of occupiers that are first time buyers.

With the current concern in the market place as to how many first time buyers are finding it increasingly difficult to get onto the property ladder, Ask Life’s abito offers a viable way for them to take that first step.

The whole concept of the apartments focuses around this idea of intelligent living spaces with all standard 353sq ft apartments featuring a central pod for the kitchen, bathroom and utility/storage areas and a special full-sized, fold away bed, living area and private balcony with a floor-to-ceiling window.

Duncan Bowman, director of Ask Life, said: “Work on the abito scheme began way before the first spade went into the ground with an extensive research and development process.  The whole team, from the designers, to the project managers and contractors have put 100 per cent into this  and we are very proud of the finished product which we will be rolling out across the UK soon.

“We aimed the abito product at first time buyers, key workers and young professionals who had previously been excluded from buying a stylish, affordable city centre apartment.  We are pleased to see that this scheme has appealed to that market and delighted to be introducing the scheme to other areas.”

The second abito development is currently under construction at Salford Quays and is due for completion in November this year.  Remaining prices start at £109,500 and there are only 44 apartments left.
