Press release
July 4th 2007
Residential property specialists King Sturge have been appointed as agents for Abito’s two current schemes in Manchester and Salford Quays.
The award-winning Abito, a subsidiary of Ask Developments, has completed its first eponymous scheme at Greengate, on the border of Manchester and Salford and now has a new show apartment and marketing suite to showcase the Abito concept and sell for both the small number of remaining apartments at Greengate and the scheme currently under construction at Clippers Quays in Salford Quays.
King Sturge’s Deansgate Sales team, led by Associate Anita Jolley, will be charged with the sales of Abito – both from its Manchester shop on Deansgate and from the dedicated marketing suite within Abito’s Greengate development.
And the sales team has revealed that there is a waiting list for people wishing to rent one of the Abito apartments and that any investor would have an immediate tenant.
The Abito concept is based around unique intelligent living spaces and the special one-off prices for the remaining apartments on the lower floors now start from £110,000 for a standard apartment.
The company has built 256 one bedroom apartments over seven floors – 200 identical in size at 347 sq ft - with 56 larger Abito ‘plus’ on the site at Greengate, just 3 minutes from the city’s Harvey Nichols department store.
Each is fitted with a special fold-away bed and a central ‘pod’, which includes a bathroom with shower, utility space for washer/dryer and a kitchen, allowing for a clutter-free lifestyle. Space above the pod can also be used as an extra bed-deck.
The multi-functional apartments, all with their own balconies, make use of the generous 3.3 m height with a floor to ceiling window to allow maximum use of light.
Les Lang: “We are delighted with our first scheme and please to appoint King Sturge as agents, who have a wealth of experience and knowledge of the market and our business as well as the purchasers, many of whom are single and first-time buyers looking to get on the property ladder.”
Anita Jolley said: “The Abito schemes are brilliantly designed and priced and with the addition of the new marketing suite, we are finding that they are still incredibly popular with young, first-time buyers who want to live close to the city centre without paying city-centre prices. We also have a waiting list of people who want to rent an apartment so any investor would have an immediate tenant.”
